Tozeur Governorate — The Oasis Irrigation System and Water Governance of the Djerid Tozeur Governorate is located in southwestern Tunisia, bordering Algeria to the west and the Chott El Jerid salt depression to the east and south. The governorate covers approximately 4,700 square kilometers and lies almost entirely within an arid to hyper-arid climatic zone.
